Clark Street. A major street running on a diagonal through the North Side of Chicago, parallel to the lake shore and just under a mile inland. From The Metro, to Wrigleyville, to The Alley, Clark Street is a busy part of the bustling alternative culture that's as rooted in the city as deep dish pizza and losing sports teams.

Pink teased hair, mohawks and plaid pants, vintage dresses paired with platform leopard print pumps. Run down apartments share street space with high priced condos and Italian restaurants with record stores. The summers are scorching and the winters are cruel, and the L or your feet are the best mode of transportation.

This is the story of the people who live their lives in this little quadrant of the windy city. These are some of the best people you'll ever meet, and some of the worst. In the dressing rooms of vintage stores you and your friends can start new trends. On the corner of Clark and Belmont you can greet someone with a smile and by the time they're halfway down the block your name is mud on their lips. Some of your best friends and worst enemies stand hip to hip and small talk at nights at the Metro. This is life on Clark. Welcome to it.
